2-in-1 Metal Bench and Dapping Block — 4x4x3/4 Carbon Steel

What you receive is a single dual-surface block: one flat bench face and a domed dapping cavity on the reverse. The block is intended to serve as both a planishing/bench surface and a forming dome, removing the need for separate pieces for many common metalworking operations.

The component is machined from carbon steel hardened to approximately 45–50 HRC for wear resistance and longevity. External dimensions are 4 inches by 4 inches with a thickness of 3/4 inch. The dapping cavity on the opposite side measures about 3-3/4 inches across, sized to accommodate doming and buckling work for small to medium rings, buckles, and curved sheet projects.

Typical uses include chasing and flattening, laying out and forming curves, stamping letters and designs, distressing and riveting, and flattening wire. The flat face provides a reliable anvil for planishing and texturing, while the dome is intended for creating smooth concave forms such as buckles and domed components.
