Advanced detection and sensitivity
This combo alarm uses dual-light wave technology alongside separate smoke and CO sensing to improve recognition of slow, smoldering fires and to help discriminate non-fire aerosols that commonly trigger nuisance trips. The unit provides a loud audible alert above 85 dB and spoken voice messages in two languages (English and French) to help occupants quickly identify the hazard.
Wiring and interconnect options
The device can be installed as a hardwired alarm or linked wirelessly with up to 18 compatible units so that when one device is triggered all linked alarms activate. It includes a wiring harness for electrical connection and the interconnect function supports whole-home notification when an event occurs.
Power, lifetime, and included items
Designed for a 10-year product life, the alarm has a battery-backup system powered by two AA batteries (included) to maintain protection during electrical outages. Package contents typically include the alarm head, mounting bracket, wiring harness, and two AA batteries to get the unit operational right away.
Construction and safety standards
The enclosure is molded from plastic rated to 5VA flame-retardant standards to protect internal electronics from heat exposure. The housing measures roughly 4.5 inches in diameter with a low-profile depth for ceiling or wall mounting. The alarm is tested and certified to UL 217 (9th Edition) for smoke and UL 2034 (5th Edition) for carbon monoxide, and it aligns with the Florida requirement for combination smoke/CO devices effective January 1, 2025.

Good replacements for failed units
Two older alarms stopped working and these fit right in. Modern appearance and installation was quick.

Will alert in a real fire
Does its job — sounded when a fire was present. Worth the buy.

Unreliable — frequent false alarms at night
Writing this after a sleepless night of multiple false activations. It links to other alarms and woke the whole family repeatedly. I expected more consistent performance for the cost. Installed only a few months, and after repeated false events that sometimes recur every 30 minutes, I removed and discarded both units I had. I’d choose a different manufacturer with a longer proven track record.

Great look and dependable function
Replaced six expired combo detectors with these. They look modern and performed well in tests, including when linked together. Swapping the wiring harness on each was simple. Each unit arrived with two AA batteries which is convenient. The test alarm is very loud, the night-time green LED is visible but not intrusive, and overall installation was easy. Highly recommended.

Keeps going off randomly
Simple to install, but it's been tripping for smoke with nothing nearby. I even photographed the room to show there was no visible smoke. Not sure why it's activating.
