What you get: Eight circular pot risers, each about 12 inches in diameter, sold as a set for moving and elevating multiple containers around the home or outdoor spaces.

Construction and appearance: Molded from black plastic, the risers are lightweight yet rigid enough for everyday use. The top surface is a circular mesh pattern that lets water pass through and encourages air circulation beneath the pot, helping to prevent water buildup and root rot.

Dimensions and load handling: Each riser measures roughly 12 inches across, providing a broad base that spreads weight evenly across the rim. They are designed for medium-sized pots, grow bags and five-gallon containers; however, the plastic is not engineered for very heavy ceramic or concrete planters.

How to use: Place a single riser under each pot on decks, patios, balcony floors, porches or indoor surfaces. Elevating the pot keeps moisture and soil off the underlying surface, reducing stains, rust and scratching while making it easier to slide or reposition containers when needed.

Versatility: These holders are suitable for indoor and outdoor use — in living rooms, offices, sunrooms, balconies, courtyards and gardens. They can also serve as temporary stands for decorative items or lightweight household objects when styling displays. Their portability makes it simple to move plants into sunlight or under cover quickly if bad weather is expected.

Pros

  • Improves drainage and airflow under pots
  • Protects floors and decking from moisture and stains
  • Lightweight and easy to move multiple containers

Cons

  • Thin plastic limits weight capacity
  • Not ideal for very heavy or oversized planters
  • Provides only minimal elevation

VerdictThese 12-inch plastic risers provide effective elevation and drainage for medium to light planters. They protect surfaces and make pots easy to move, but the thin plastic limits load capacity and long-term durability under heavy or constant weight. Good for routine garden and patio use where portability and drainage matter more than heavy-duty support.

Reviews

  1. Taylor D. 5/5

Works well for large outdoor pots

Handles my large outdoor pots well.

  2. Nailah 5/5

    Sturdy and drains well

Exactly what I needed — solid enough for my grow bags and planters, and leaves space for water to escape.

  3. Megan McGuiness 5/5

    Solid performance

Served the purpose I bought them for — fairly strong and durable for everyday use.

  4. Good buy for me 5/5

Good fit for my garden buckets

They fit under five-gallon buckets and grow bags as I wanted and added better drainage; I’ll order more for the rest of the garden.

  5. deborah h 5/5

    Right size for patio pots

Perfect for downsizing to patio pots — attractive enough and useful for mid-size containers, though not meant for very heavy planters.

  6. Ami O. 5/5

Does the job — basic and functional

Happy with these as inexpensive risers for various sized outdoor planters. They’re simple, slightly decorative, require no assembly, and let me move pots smoothly.

  7. Carolina 3/5

    Poor material strength

Low-quality plastic that can’t support heavier pots as advertised; material feels flimsy and not suited for substantial weight.

  8. Heather G 4/5

    Lightweight but questions on longevity

Thin plastic leaves me unsure about long-term use, but they’re easy to move, keep the deck dry, and hold plants steady for now.

  9. Serena 3/5

    Meets expectations

Not spectacular but acceptable for general use.

  10. Michael Fawcett 5/5

    Does the job

Excellent — just what I needed.

  11. makko 5/5

    Simple and effective

Doing exactly what I expected — no complaints.

  12. Deborah Kramer 3/5

Must match pot size or they warp

If a pot doesn’t sit squarely on the riser it can bend and cause leaning; they work only when the pot bottoms match the riser size.

  13. Alejandro Gomez 5/5

    Very handy

Super useful! Lightweight and did a great job keeping the deck clear of moisture and dirt.
