Product review

Ultra-light carbon construction: the cage weighs approximately 20 grams (±5%), designed to shave grams off your bike without compromising the structure. The body is formed from high-modulus carbon fiber to provide the stiffness needed for racing and aggressive efforts.

Injection-molding enhancements: an advanced molding process reduces wall thickness where possible while reinforcing high-stress areas. This approach increases impact resistance and preserves a slim, race-ready profile.

Bottle retention and geometry: the sculpted curvature and precise dimensions cradle bottles tightly to eliminate rattling on rough surfaces yet allow smooth in-and-out access during rides. The shape matches pro-race ergonomics derived from Elite’s race-line models.

Pro peloton heritage: the design follows the lines of Elite’s Custom Race style used in professional teams, emphasizing reliable retention, durability under repeated use, and intuitive handling when grabbing bottles on the move.

Finish and detailing: each piece is finished by hand in Italy and presented with a refined matte black coat and subtle red highlights to complement modern race frames.

What’s included and fitment: sold as a single carbon cage supplied with standard mounting screws for frame bosses. It accommodates most standard cycling water bottles and is compatible with large-profile bottles often used in long rides and events.

Pros

  • Extremely low weight (≈20 g)
  • Rigid, impact-resistant carbon construction
  • Secure, rattle-free bottle hold

Cons

  • Very tight fit can make removal deliberate
  • May not allow bottle to sit fully recessed
  • Some users report durability concerns

VerdictA seriously light and stiff carbon cage that keeps bottles in place on rough roads while remaining easy to extract. Proven pro-style geometry and Italian hand-finishing make it a smart choice for riders who want minimal weight and dependable retention without sacrificing looks.

Reviews

  1. Jeffrey G. Boldt 4/5

Good for weight, awkward for rear mounting

They’re light and well made, but bottles don’t drop to the very base of the cage. For rear-mounted tri bottles that forces a slightly rearward placement, which isn’t ideal for my setup.

  2. DANIELLET 1/5

    Both cages failed quickly

I bought two and one snapped on the first ride, the other on the next. I’ve been forced to tape them up until replacements arrive. Very disappointed.

  3. Joe Cornelius 5/5

    Impressive ultralight upgrade

This cage shaved weight off my build without giving up security. Carbon layup feels premium and bottles stay put even on rough stretches, but you can still pull them out without excessive effort. Clean look and performs exactly as expected.

  4. Paul A. Lucey 5/5

    Featherweight and strong

Very light yet feels sturdy. Exactly what I was after.

  5. pitchie 5/5

    Tight fit but reassuring

Solid, lightweight construction. The fit is snug when inserting a bottle, but that gives confidence it won’t fall out on rough sections.

  6. Drew Terry 5/5

    Light, secure, easy to use

Neat appearance, holds bottles firmly, and swapping bottles while rolling is straightforward. A well‑executed lightweight cage.

  7. Pierre 5/5

    Bonne qualité

    Fait très bien

  8. Aoi 5/5

    重量、ホールド、見た目に満足

    重量が軽く、ホールド力も十分で見た目も良い。走行中にボトルが暴れることはなく、垂直に引けばスムーズに取り出せます。

  9. Juan 5/5

Holds my 950 ml bottles reliably

I’d lost big bottles before and needed something that would keep them in place. The design looks race-ready and sits unobtrusively on the frame. It grips my 950 ml bottles over cobbles and broken pavement, is nearly imperceptible on the scale, and lets me extract bottles mid-ride smoothly.

  10. Duppie 5/5

    Grip is rock‑solid

Matched the bike color and after several weeks they’ve held every bottle tightly. That security comes with increased extraction effort, so they might slow you down in hectic group handovers.

  11. enyab04 5/5

    Subtle look, performs well

I fussed over cages longer than reasonable and wanted something low-key to match stealth wheels. The gray I chose reads nearly black and blends nicely with my frame. Functionally they meet expectations and look discreet.
