Product review
This product is a rubber half-ball rebound trainer intended for rugby practice. You get the half-section ball itself, constructed from durable rubber with a textured surface to withstand regular use on grass or artificial turf. It features a Truflight valve so the rebounder carries a weight and feel similar to a regulation match ball.
Designed to be thrown against a flat surface, it rebounds off either hand to help players develop passing technique, hand–eye coordination and reaction speed. Its compact, half-ball shape makes it comfortable to grip and control during rapid-fire solo drills.
The rebounder is targeted at scrum-halves, fly-halves and other competitive players who need to practice hundreds of passing reps alone. It’s also useful for working on broken-play pickups, quick reactions and even lineout catch practice when space or partners are limited.
Pros
- Durable rubber construction
- Matches match-ball weight with Truflight valve
- Great for solo passing and reaction drills
Cons
- May require occasional reinflation
- Can bounce unpredictably on uneven surfaces
- Not a full-size ball for kicking practice
VerdictA straightforward solo training aid that replicates match weight and gives unpredictable bounces to force faster hands and sharper reactions. Built from tough rubber with a Truflight valve, it’s compact enough for one-handed drills and holds up to turf and grass. Ideal for players who must log many passing reps without a partner; some users report occasional slow air loss, but overall it’s durable

Five-star training value
Looks well made and performed all day in our session. We made drills harder by kicking it at a brick wall and catching the rebound — no wear so far. Bought for throwing practice but we used it a lot for kicking and reflex catches too.

Excellent for handling and reaction drills
The rebounder forces quick reactions with its irregular bounce, which improved my handling and hand–eye coordination. I use it for warm-ups, solo passing drills and reaction work; it transfers well to game situations. Solid build, holds up on turf and grass. Simple, effective and ideal for getting extra reps by yourself.

Good for solo practice — watch your furniture
Works great for individual sessions. If you use it indoors be careful — it rebounds strongly and can knock things over.

Right dimensions for practice
My son thought the size was fine for practice sessions.

Useful but may need topping up
Handy for passing and lineout drills — wish I’d used one sooner. Mine seems to lose a little air and requires pumping every few sessions, but otherwise it works well.

Solid piece of kit
My son used it in training though he prefers a partner. It still got regular use and held up without any issues.

Does the job well
Used it a few times and it performs nicely. Regular practice with it will improve passing. Best used with a flat wall to avoid odd rebound angles.

Sturdy trainer with quick delivery
Very tough construction and the rebound matches the force you send it with. No noticeable air loss so far. Ideal for improving hand-eye coordination solo. Also came with a free sticker which was a nice bonus.

Great for a new player
We bought this for a teenager who just started rugby and his passing has come on a lot in a month. He bangs it off a brick wall frequently and it’s still going strong — seems tough enough for regular practice.

Also handy for lineout work
Good quality and useful for improving kids’ passing and lineout catching. Would recommend for practice.

Unusual look, very effective
Bought for my teen to practice in the off-season. She uses it against a brick wall at school and it returns with the same force she sends it. Gets a lot of curious looks but performs brilliantly when there’s no one to train with.
