Product review
What’s included: one John Guest Speedfit angle stop adapter valve (3/8 x 3/8 x 1/4).
Materials and construction: The main body is molded from white polypropylene with EPDM sealing rings where the push-fit connections engage. Threaded connections are made with lead-free brass to ensure durable, corrosion-resistant mating to chrome supply stops. The center cartridge contains seals and a rotating section so the valve can be oriented without stressing the fittings.
Sizes and ratings: Designed to connect to a standard US 3/8-inch compression chrome supply stop and accept 1/4-inch push-fit tubing for appliances such as reverse osmosis systems, coffee brewers, and ice makers. It is compatible with plastic or copper outer-diameter tubing. The fitting is NSF61 listed and rated to 150 psi at 70°F and 60 psi at 140°F.
How it’s used: The valve installs between the existing chrome angle stop and the riser — simply thread the brass end to the supply stop, connect the riser, and insert the 1/4-inch push-fit tubing. The integrated quarter-turn lever isolates the feed for service or cartridge changes. The swivel center allows the push-fit outlet to be rotated into the desired position after both ends are tightened, simplifying routing in cramped under-sink spaces.
Performance notes: Push-to-connect ports allow quick insertion and removal of tubing without special tools, while the metal-threaded ends provide reliable sealing where threaded engagement is required. Suitable for household cold-water supply applications that match the stated pressure and temperature ratings.
Pros
- Tool-free push-to-connect for 1/4 in tubing
- Lead-free brass threads with polypropylene body
- Quarter-turn shutoff and rotating outlet for easy routing
Cons
- Uses US 3/8 compression sizing — not 3/8 BSP
- Plastic body may concern some users preferring all-metal
- Limited temperature rating at higher temps
VerdictA solid, user-friendly angle stop adapter for adding a water feed to under-sink devices. It combines a white polypropylene body with EPDM seals and lead-free brass threaded ends, push-fit connection for 1/4-inch tubing and compatibility with 3/8-inch OD supply lines. Installation is quick thanks to the quarter-turn valve and rotating center section. It performs well for filtration, RO, coffee, and

Came with tape — solid product
Good quality and included thread tape for the connection. Simple and effective.

Exactly what I needed for my filtration setup
This was the only fitting that matched my unusual under-sink arrangement. Installed cleanly and solved the feed routing issue.

Doesn’t fit European 3/8 standards
Same warning — US compression threads, not the European BSP size. Quality is fine if you have the correct standard.

Not compatible with European 3/8 BSP
Heads up: this uses US 3/8 compression sizing rather than 3/8 BSP. It didn’t fit European hoses I had on hand.

Saved my install — extra shutoff is handy
I picked up the 3/8 x 3/8 x 1/4 size for an RO hookup. The original fitting kept popping off; this adapter threaded in securely and the added shutoff lets me isolate the feed when changing filters. No leaks and very convenient.

Reliable and easy to connect
I’ve bought these before and they’re consistently easy to install with no issues. Robust threads and a smooth valve action.

Fast install and worked perfectly
Quick to fit when adding a dedicated faucet to my under-sink filter. No leaks and a clean shutoff — worth it for the convenience.

Smart way to add RO or ice maker feed
Well engineered for tying a 1/4-inch Quick Connect tube to existing copper plumbing. The white body rotates so you can aim the outlet without twisting the pipes.

Does exactly what it says — leak-free
Tried a few alternatives and this one was the only reliable connector. It ties the 3/8 cold water line to the faucet riser and gives a push-fit outlet for the RO. Simple install, solid seals, no drips.

Finally — the connector RO kits should include
My RO system came with a flimsy tee that started leaking after hours. I replaced it with this Speedfit valve and the install took ten minutes. The center section turns independently of the threaded ends, so orientation wasn’t an issue. No leaks since installation and the quarter-turn stop works cleanly.

Installed quickly, no leaks
I tried an all-metal unit that leaked; this Speedfit adapter installed in ten minutes and has been perfect for my deionized/RO setup with zero leaks.

Replaced leaking valve — perfect fix
Swapped a leaking RO valve for this adapter. No leaks and much more reliable than the old fitting.

Perfect replacement for cheap plastic tees
Replaced the plastic T that came with my under-sink filter. The metal-threaded ends tightened properly and the independent swivel made routing the tubing easy. The shutoff lets me leave the faucet valve alone while servicing the filter.
