Product review

What you get: a set of twelve AAA-sized rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. Each cell is rated at 800 mAh and a nominal voltage of 1.2 volts, and ships pre-charged for immediate use.

Chemistry and performance: these are NiMH cells with a low self-discharge formulation. They are designed to retain roughly 80% of their charge after twelve months in storage, making them useful to keep on hand for occasional use. The manufacturer states a cycle life of up to 1000 recharges under recommended conditions.

Intended use: suitable for a wide array of household and portable devices — TV remotes, wireless keyboards and mice, small flashlights, toys, some digital cameras and other consumer electronics that accept AAA cells. They work best in low- to moderate-drain applications but are usable in many everyday devices.

Packaging and notes: the pack ships in Certified Frustration-Free Packaging. Appearance of the cells may change over time, so batteries received might look different from images. Important safety reminder: do not mix non-rechargeable with rechargeable cells, fully charged with partially discharged cells, new with old cells, different mAh capacities, or different brands, to avoid damage or rapid discharge.

Pros

  • Pre-charged and ready to use out of the box
  • Low self-discharge keeps about 80% after 12 months
  • High cycle rating — can be recharged many times

Cons

  • Lower nominal capacity than some premium cells
  • May lose usable runtime sooner in high-drain gadgets
  • Appearance/packaging can vary between batches

VerdictSolid, affordable AAA NiMH cells for everyday gadgets. They arrive ready to use, hold charge much better than alkalines in storage, and can be cycled many times. Not as long-lived or top-tier in capacity as premium lines, but they deliver dependable power for low- to moderate-drain devices.

Reviews

  1. Sean Bozarth 5/5

    Handy to keep extras charged

I rely on AAA batteries around the house and this pack being rechargeable is convenient. They arrived ready to use and have performed well in remotes, small lights and similar devices. They charge normally and hold a usable charge, so having spare cells prepped is convenient.

  3. KC2020 5/5

Good value compared to name brands

I've used these for about a year in remotes and thermostats — light-duty devices. They recharge repeatedly and none have failed so far. For my needs they match more expensive options, and I’d buy again for simple household use.

  4. Fanatik 3/5

They work, but you’ll recharge often

These perform fine for day-to-day tasks, but they do drain faster than higher-end cells, so expect to top them up more frequently. If you have many gadgets, use a charger that handles several cells at once to avoid downtime.

  5. Amauap 5/5

  6. Galactic Pancake 4/5

Affordable and practical for everyday gadgets

Short version: solid value for routine use, especially on sale. Not the highest capacity or longest-lived cells available, but far better than disposables for cost and waste reduction. A dependable charger helps get the most life out of them.

Pros: great value, reduces waste, suited to low-drain devices.
Cons: modest capacity, not as stable as premium cells, may show earlier performance decline.

  7. Israel Avelar Miranda 5/5

    Rendimiento constante y ahorro práctico

Pil as recargables útiles y fiables para uso profesional o doméstico. Este lote es ideal para mantener micrófonos, mandos, luces y otros equipos funcionando. Soportan muchos ciclos y conservan carga en almacenamiento, reduciendo costes y residuos.

  8. KJ 5/5

Dependable power for many household devices

These 800 mAh NiMH cells deliver steady performance across a range of gadgets. The rechargeability and decent capacity make them a practical choice for remotes, flashlights and peripherals where consistent power matters. They provide good runtimes for everyday use.

  9. Pascal Grenier 5/5

Decent for high-drain gadgets but not premium

I wanted affordable rechargeables for game controllers and toys. These charge fast and hold charge reasonably well, but they don’t match top-tier brands for longevity. Over several months I noticed some performance drop. Good value for moderate use, but expect more frequent recharges in very power-hungry devices.

  10. VP 5/5

Pre-charged and comparable to premium alternatives

I used these with a Panasonic charger and found performance similar to the more expensive cells I’d been buying. They held charge well and charged quickly, though charge speed depends on the charger. I use them in remotes, controllers and a calculator with no issues.

  11. Stoney 5/5

Does the job for portable audio

I use AAA cells mostly in older MP3 players. My older rechargeables were several years old and seemed to give less playtime, so I bought a few of these NiMH cells. Rumors say they resemble known low-SD cells, but in daily use I noticed runtime similar to my older packs. With a quality charger I haven’t seen a dramatic difference. In real-world use most rechargeables lose noticeable charge over a few months, so performance can vary by device and charger.

  12. NLee the Engineer 5/5

Not identical to early eneloop cells

I tested these with a La Crosse BC1000. Out of package the average remaining charge was about 70% (~562 mAh). After one full cycle the average climbed to roughly 797 mAh, and after a few more cycles it settled around 821 mAh. Behavior during initial cycles differs from some original low-rate cells, so they aren’t exact copies of first-gen premium models.
