Brand The Silk Road Trade

Product review

Every step of manufacture is completed by experienced craftsmen in Gaziantep; each cezve is handcrafted from a single sheet of pure copper. The exterior is deeply hand‑engraved, the bottom is hand‑hammered for stability, and the inside is finished with a lead‑free, food‑safe tin lining to prevent reactions with coffee. The body is polished to a mirror-like copper sheen.

This model is intended for traditional preparation of Turkish, Greek or Arabian coffee and blends retro ornamentation with modern usability. The handle is a handcrafted wooden piece that detaches for storage and cleaning; the spout is shaped for a controlled pour. Although the design includes solid metal fittings, the wooden handle helps keep your hand cool during use.

You receive the cezve (unassembled) and the detachable wooden handle; the pot bears The Silk Road Trade touchmark on the base as proof of origin. It is made to be durable and serviceable for generations when given basic maintenance.

Use: suitable for gas, electric, ceramic and halogen stovetops and for hot‑sand brewing, a traditional method. It is not compatible with induction cooktops. Rinse and dry promptly after use and follow included care instructions to preserve the tin lining and exterior finish.

    Great purchase

    Excellent quality and solid workmanship.

  2. Osh 5/5

    Solid, well‑made pot

Very pleased with the build quality after trying cheaper versions. With the XXL you can make 2–3 large mugs or 5–6 small cups. Rinse and dry right away after brewing to keep the finish; no dish soap needed. I use a traditional Turkish roast and sometimes a pumpkin spice‑style blend for aroma.

    Lovely weight and feel

Known as džezva or cezve, this style of pot is enjoyed across many regions. This example is sturdy, attractive and a pleasure to use. Each brew brings memories of family and the wider coffee traditions that use this method.

    Craftsmanship matches description

As a metalsmith I can say it is made from thick copper with a smooth tin lining and deep engraving. The beechwood handle is varnished and the brass mounting is solid and riveted. I filled it to the brim to test for leaks and it held without seepage. It arrives with the handle detached for simple assembly.

  10. My Dog Wally 4/5

    Works great despite small flaw

Performs exactly as intended — makes excellent Turkish coffee and feels durable. I deducted one star for a minor dent in the spout that likely occurred before shipping, but daily use has been trouble‑free.

  11. Mohammed 5/5

    Excellent quality

High product quality and definitely worth purchasing.

  12. Mad Hatter 5/5

    Handy and beautifully made briki

Arrived well packed and feels substantial, not flimsy. I use it every morning to heat water for tea and it fills my 22 oz pot nicely. The wooden handle stays cool and the angle gives a secure grip. Very satisfied.
