Product review
Each pack contains a card with five size 110/18 Jean & Denim sewing machine needles intended for use in standard home sewing machines.
The needles are engineered with a medium ball point and an optimized blade profile to reduce lateral bending and resist needle breakage and skipped stitches. That reinforced geometry helps the needle push through dense yarns and tightly woven fabrics without excessive deflection.
Designed for heavy textiles, these needles work well on denim, canvas, ballistic-style nylons, rag quilts, coiled fabric bowls and other multilayered projects. The size 110/18 gives the penetration power needed to pass cleanly through stacked seams and hook-and-loop closures.
Use them in place of standard needles when tackling thick seams or multiple layers; sew at a steady, moderate speed for the best stitch quality. The results are smooth, even stitches that preserve fabric integrity and produce a neat, professional finish.
Durability is a focus: the needles are made from hardened needle steel and plated for longevity, offering dependable performance for beginners and experienced sewers alike.
Pros
- Strong penetration through multiple layers
- Reduced bending and fewer broken needles
- Clean, consistent stitch quality on heavy fabrics
Cons
- Optimized for dense fabrics, not delicate materials
- Best results at moderate sewing speeds
- Single size per pack limits versatility
VerdictThese Jean & Denim 110/18 needles are a reliable choice for sewing dense fabrics on home machines. The reinforced profile and medium ball point let the needle move through stacked layers with minimal deflection, producing consistent stitches and fewer broken needles. They excel on denim, canvas, heavy quilts and similar projects; users who sew slowly to moderately will see the best performance. Ov

Label missed recipient name
Item itself was fine, but the shipping label lacked a name and the package was left in the lobby—risky for apartment deliveries.

Handled ballistic-style nylon well
Tested on doubled seams of ballistic nylon and it handled the job without much trouble. Minimal needle marks and smooth sewing as long as I didn’t push too hard.
