Product review
Explore beekeeping with a ready-made starter pack designed to get you into the apiary quickly. The kit contains 12 items: a handheld bee smoker with fuel, a soft bee brush, a frame grip, a J-hook hive tool, a water/misc feeder, a wire embedder, a honey uncapping fork, a queen cage, a queen marking tube, an organizer tote bag, and protective gloves.
The components combine materials intended for everyday use: stainless steel implements for durability (uncapping fork, hive tool, frame grip parts), wooden handles for the brush and uncapping tools, and various plastics for the feeder, wire embedder and small accessories. The tote is constructed from Oxford-cloth fabric with multiple pockets to keep tools sorted, and the gloves are one-size-fits-most to fit the average adult beekeeper.
Tools are sized for hobbyist hives and hands — the smoker is a compact, handheld unit meant to be portable during inspections, while the uncapping fork and hive tool match standard frame and foundation work. The feeder accepts typical bottle-style setups but may not suit every bottle neck size.
Use the kit for routine hive inspections: calm bees with the smoker and brush, pry and lift frames with the hive tool and frame grip, remove cappings with the uncapping fork, handle queen tasks with the cage and marking tube, and carry everything in the organizer bag. This set targets novices and hobbyists who want an all-in-one beginning toolkit.
Pros
- Comprehensive selection of starter tools
- Durable stainless steel and wooden components
- Organizer tote keeps items tidy
Cons
- Some plastic parts can be fragile
- Smoker quality varies by unit
- Feeder may not fit all bottle types
VerdictThis 12-piece kit supplies most of the essentials a new beekeeper needs to begin hive work. The tools are a mix of stainless steel, wood and plastic and come in a compact organizer tote with gloves. Quality is generally suitable for beginners, though some buyers reported damaged plastic parts and issues with the smoker and feeder fit. Mixed condition on arrival
I’ve only used the gloves so far and they’re comfortable, but several plastic parts arrived broken and the queen cage was missing, so I give three stars.

Serious smoker failure
The smoker came apart on first use and caused burns. I’m in pain and missed my inspection—would not recommend.

Feeder compatibility issues
Mostly fine, but the water feeder wouldn’t work with any bottles I tried. Customer reply didn’t address my question either.
