Product review

This cordless trimmer/edger houses a high-speed motor rated at about 9,000 RPM and a 12-inch cutting diameter to cover broader swaths of grass and weeds. The unit is supplied with two 20V, 2.0Ah removable batteries and a single charger so you can swap power cells and continue working without long interruptions. Manufacturers also include six replacement spools of 0.055-inch line to keep you stocked for multiple sessions.

The tool converts from a rotating trimmer to a dedicated edger by pivoting the cutting head 90 degrees using a release button — no separate second tool required. Its shaft telescopes for length adjustment and the handle can be set at multiple angles to suit different user heights and cutting positions. At about 4.2 pounds, the package emphasizes low weight for reduced arm fatigue during extended use.

Construction combines reinforced polymer housing and a sturdy shaft for general yard work and built-in guards to protect flower beds and borders while trimming. The head features an automatic line-feed system that advances the 0.055" cutting line as it wears, eliminating the need to bump or manually feed line during use.

Safety and durability features include a spacer guard for precision near plants, a dual-stage safety lock to avoid accidental starts, and thermal cutoff protection that stops the motor if it overheats to protect both the tool and battery pack. The unit is intended for homeowners looking for an easy-to-handle, low-maintenance alternative to gas trimmers.

Pros

  • Comes with two batteries and spare line spools
  • Lightweight and adjustable for easier handling
  • Converts quickly between trimmer and edger modes

Cons

  • Not intended for heavy commercial use
  • Single-line feed head can be awkward to reload
  • Documentation and parts info may be limited

VerdictThis battery-powered 2-in-1 trimmer/edger delivers useful cutting power for small to medium yards. Its light weight and included spare battery make it convenient for homeowners and seniors, while the 12" head and automatic line feed keep trimming simple. The build is aimed at casual use; expect solid performance for routine edging and grass trimming but limited heavy-duty endurance.

Reviews

  1. T B 4/5

Works OK but quirks with charging

The batteries charge and the trimmer runs, but the charger shows a solid red light when charging which worried me. Line feed feels a bit cheap.

  2. Rose Papizan 5/5

    Finally found a lightweight trimmer

Very light and easy to handle. Cuts well and my elderly parent has no trouble using it.

  3. Timothy F. 1/5

    Fine for small yards

Useful if your yard is compact. Only one line outlet and it’s tricky to add slack, so not ideal for larger trimming jobs.

  4. Robert Ganus 3/5

    Good cutter, poor documentation

Cuts well, but the manual and online parts info were almost non-existent. Had to hunt down replacement spools elsewhere.

  5. E F Uller 5/5

Does the job around my house

Perfect for trimming near the deck and around the yard. Cordless convenience and the extra battery extend run time. Happy with initial performance.

  6. T. Allan 5/5

Three weeks in and so far so good

Appears solid for casual use. Motor hasn’t overheated while edging my corner lot. Will update if problems appear.

  7. Rodney Kelly 5/5

    Light, quiet, and reliable runtime

Assembled quickly. Much lighter than my old gas unit and much quieter. Ran continuously for about 30 minutes on one battery.
