Connectivity and setup: the sensor communicates over 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi and is managed with the Tuya Smart app. To pair a unit, power the main module with two AAA batteries (not supplied), set the device selector to 0, then within five seconds toggle 0→1→0→1 to enter pairing mode; a red LED flash and a beep confirm discovery. In the app, choose Add Device and supply your 2.4G network credentials to complete connection.
App control and status: once connected, the app delivers real‑time open/close alerts to your phone and shows remaining battery percentage for each sensor. You can switch between Doorbell, Alarm and Off, and change volume remotely. The system relies on a stable 2.4G Wi‑Fi link for notifications and remote control.
Modes and audible alerts: the unit supports three operating modes. Alarm Mode 1 emits a one‑minute alarm when triggered; Alarm Mode 2 sounds while the contact is separated and silences on closure; Chime Mode plays a short melody when opened. There are three selectable volume levels; when the magnet gap exceeds around 0.78 inches (≈2 cm) the sensor triggers a loud siren plus a flashing red lamp and pushes an instant app notification.
Installation and physical details: the alarm is plastic‑cased and designed for surface mounting with the supplied adhesive—no wiring needed. Align the arrow marks and keep the gap under 2 cm for reliable activation. It operates across a temperature window from about −10°C to 50°C, suitable for many indoor and sheltered outdoor locations. Battery life is long under normal use and the app will warn when levels run low.

Good concept, slight lag
I received this as a free trial and give an honest take. Setup is easy and notifications arrive on your phone when the door opens, which helps monitoring. Downsides: because the sensor runs on batteries, notifications can sometimes take up to ten seconds to appear.

Very effective solution
Living in an apartment I couldn’t fit cameras, so this felt like a good compromise. I was annoyed that batteries aren’t included and that the app requests many permissions, but once set up it works well. Lightweight but sturdy, comes with tape so no drilling, and the sensor parts must be placed within 2 cm of each other.

Works, needs alignment
Functions well but the two pieces must sit flush and directly opposite each other. Won’t trigger reliably if the magnet and alarm are mounted on staggered surfaces.

Very useful outdoors
No wiring needed and after ten months outside they’ve held up. I added a weather cover and left room to remove the unit for battery changes; the original battery lasted about two years. Volume control and multiple melodies are handy, and the plug‑in receiver can be moved to a garden socket when needed. I’d buy them again.

Excellent and simple
Installation was trivial: plug the receiver into mains and stick the transmitter with the adhesive. Default chime was fine and the unit solved an access problem cheaply compared with rewiring. Only downside: white shows dirt easily in a workshop.

Ultra‑easy and effective
I wanted a bedside alert for a sick relative. The call button is large and backlit, and the plug‑in chime is simple to place in a wall socket. Volume and melody are easy to change — a true plug‑and‑play device with an attractive design.
