The lamp houses 100 ultraviolet LEDs tuned around the 390–395 nm band to produce vivid fluorescence on many biological and dyed materials. The body is molded from impact-resistant ABS plastic with a rubberized grip section for secure handling. The lens is a durable polycarbonate/plastic window. The unit measures roughly 7 inches long, weighs in the mid-range for handheld torches, and runs on six AA batteries (not included in some packages). Included in the box are the flashlight, a wrist lanyard, a belt holster, and a user guide with basic safety and operation tips.
Using it is straightforward: operate in darkened conditions for best contrast, sweep the beam across surfaces from several inches up to a few yards depending on target and ambient light, and inspect areas that show a bright fluorescent glow. Common applications include pet stain detection, leak tracing with UV-dyed fluids, scorpion hunting at night, vetting old upholstery, and verifying fluorescent security features. For safety, avoid staring into the beam and keep it away from children. Regular household cleaning products can then be used on identified spots or you can decide if deep shampooing is needed for severe contamination.

Fantastic for scorpion-hunting outdoors
Living where scorpions are common, this light changed night patrols. The dense LED array lights up scorpions from a good distance so I can sweep the yard without crawling among rocks. Feels solid in hand and makes the job fast and simple.

Runs on AA, not AAA — color note
Performs well, but requires six AA cells (not AAA). Mine arrived in a vivid neon magenta finish, darker than the soft pink shown in pictures.

Very useful for finding pet accidents

Extremely revealing — use with caution
It uncovers every biological stain in the house. I spent weeks scanning every room; it’s oddly compulsive. Helpful, but if you’re tidy or have OCD tendencies, be warned — it’s hard to put down.

Exposed hidden messes in the bedroom
