Product review

Contents: Forty individual ink pads, each housed in its own removable cover for tidy storage and transport.

Construction: Each pad uses a thicker foam/sponge layer designed to retain more ink than thin pads, helping impressions stay juicy and reducing rapid drying.

Care and cleanup: Ink can be rinsed from skin with warm water and a little soap. Keeping lids fully closed prolongs pad life; a light mist of distilled water can revive slightly dried pads.

Use cases: Compact and portable, these pads are intended for rubber stamp impressions, scrapbooking, finger painting, poster making, card crafting and other paper projects. The bright selection makes them a handy gift for crafty friends and family.

Pros

  • Wide 40-color selection
  • Thick foam holds more ink
  • Individual covers for neat storage

Cons

  • Can take time to dry on some surfaces
  • Some pads may dry if lids not sealed
  • Not all colors perform identically

VerdictThis 40-piece kit supplies a wide rainbow of colors and durable, thicker foam pads that hold plenty of ink. They’re portable, come individually covered for storage, and are suited to a variety of paper crafts. Ideal for hobbyists and kids, though drying time and handling may vary by surface.

    Dries fast after initial use

Great pigment at first, but several pads seemed to dry out sooner than expected after a few uses.

Vibrant, juicy pads — great color variety

Good quality, generously inked pads with a lovely range of shades. They weren’t the right finish for my bible journaling — on gessoed pages they stayed wet for a long time even with a hair dryer — but they’re perfect for general crafting. Wash up easily and each pad arrived wrapped on its own.

  3. S 5/5

    Nice for embellishments

Some shades are a bit unusual, but they work well for decorative accents and mixed-media touches.

  4. Alan D. 5/5

    Bold hues with minimal smearing

Colors are sharp and don’t move around much. Worked well for making cards.

  5. MONA LIVSEY 5/5

Fun, versatile set for kids and crafters

Plenty of colors to choose from — ideal for paper projects, school crafts, and young artists.

    Surprising performance — heat-set becomes water-resistant

After some experimenting I think these behave like chalk/pigment inks. Heat-setting them made the prints fully water-resistant and sped drying. They clean up with water and gave me better results than an archival ink I’d been using. Easy to use even with inexpensive clear stamps.

    Huge palette, excellent with stencils

Bought a stack of stencils and these pads have been great for layered backgrounds. They’re juicy, affordable for the number you get, and pair nicely with blending brushes—just tap lightly and build color through the stencil. Added nice effects to several pages and backgrounds.

Loads of ink — use a light touch

These are very inky, so pick up sparingly with blending tools. I did have a few dry out from not sealing lids properly, but a mist of distilled water brought them back. Good, affordable pigment pads.
