Product review

This UltraPro hardwired LED under-cabinet fixture is built to provide bright, accurate lighting for interior tasks. The 24-inch model produces about 908 lumens and a high 90 CRI for true colors; the product family also includes shorter lengths such as an 18-inch option (approximately 700 lumens) to suit varied run lengths. Each unit offers three switchable white temperatures—warm 2700K, neutral 4000K, and daylight 5000K—so you can match the light to the room or task.

The fixture is designed for direct-wire installation to a wall switch, eliminating external cords and adapters. All mounting hardware and push-in electrical connectors are supplied in the wiring cavity so you have what you need for a clean, permanent install. The housing is low-profile to tuck under cabinets and the diffuser spreads the output for even under-cabinet illumination.

Compatibility with most in-wall dimmers allows the fixture to be used for bright task lighting or softer ambient scenes. The unit is safety-tested and UL certified, and the LEDs are intended for long life with low maintenance requirements. Note that the wiring cavity contains the mounting hardware and connector blocks, which can be snug when multiple conductors are present.

Ideal indoor locations include kitchens, pantries, laundry rooms, home offices and other workspaces that benefit from consistent, high-quality under-cabinet lighting. The slim form factor blends with various decors while providing a permanent lighting upgrade when hardwiring is preferred over plug-in solutions.

Pros

  • Bright, high-CRI output with selectable color temps
  • Direct-wire design and included connectors/hardware
  • Compatible with most in-wall dimmers

Cons

  • Wiring cavity can be tight for multiple conductors
  • Installation can be awkward without a helper
  • Lowest (2700K) setting may appear very warm to some

VerdictA compact, hardwired LED strip that delivers strong, color-accurate light and flexible white-temperature options. Installation can be fiddly in tight cabinets but the included mounting parts and push-in connectors simplify the job. Once mounted it provides reliable, dimmable task lighting for kitchens, pantries, and work areas.

    Straightforward install, solid light output

The kit is well thought out. The push-in connectors accept two conductors of each type, which is handy for daisy-chained circuits. The middle color setting is bright but slightly warm, a pleasing balance for under-cabinet tasks.

    Sleek appearance and electrician-approved

Our electrician recommended these to replace old fluorescents. They look much cleaner under the cabinets and the three color choices are a nice touch. He found the hardwired install to be straightforward.

Great light after a fiddly install

I swapped out a hardwired fluorescent in a closet (on a motion sensor). Fitting the wires inside the fixture was tight, but the push-in connectors made the electrical hookups simple. The short instruction clip covers the essentials — take your time snapping the cover past the clips. After finishing the install the fixture is very bright and the color selection feature is handy.

Kitchen makeover — much improved lighting

I bought several sizes (two 18", one 24" and one 48") to replace our under-cabinet fluorescents. I delayed installing them for months but, with some basic electrical experience, I tackled the job. Removing the old tubes was the hardest part and one cabinet had a different wiring layout that took a bit of research to sort. The new fixtures give excellent under-cabinet light; selectable color temps and individual switches on each unit are convenient.

    Functional, clean-looking under-cabinet lighting

These lights perform well — colors are accurate and brightness is appropriate. Some assembly steps weren't fully clear, but they are solvable. They warm up with prolonged use but not excessively. You must run the wiring between units yourself. I'd buy them again and have already recommended them.

    Simple hookup and bright output

This light wired up easily and provides very bright illumination. It has an on/off control plus a 3-way selector to change the LED temperature. Wiring it to a wall switch was uncomplicated.

Tough installation but works flawlessly now

This replaced a clunky fluorescent and is a big improvement — instant on, no buzzing, and more natural tones. The install was rough alone; a second person would help. Wires fought me and I temporarily taped them to keep everything in place. The 2700K mode looks overly yellow to my eye, so I keep it on 4000K, which looks much more natural.

    Reliable after years of service

I've had several of these for a couple of years and they've been trouble-free. I installed eight of mixed lengths to replace fluorescents; with the right tools the work went smoothly.

Follow the installation tips — they saved me

I replaced five under-counter fluorescents with these. They deliver strong lumens and include a 3-way color rocker. Installation is straightforward once you know the snap-in method; for stubborn units I used a narrow chisel to lever the edge into the frame notch and that trick worked every time.

    Very satisfied once installed (translated)

Recently installed these under my cabinets and they match the product description. I wanted a fixture that hardwires to the supply and the provided connectors made that easy. The fixtures are compact so space for the house wiring is limited, and installations with supply and onward feed wires are trickier, but the result is very pleasing.

Dimmable via wall switch, can be linked

Installation was generally straightforward, though mounting under cabinets requires patience. The fixture dims with a wall switch and the color temperature is easy to change. Multiple units can be wired in series for longer runs.

Direct-wire and dimmable — met my needs

I installed five units (48", 36" x3 and 24"). I chose these because they hardwire to 120V and work with an in-wall dimmer so all lights can be controlled together. They cost more than some kits but matched what I needed. Proper tools and clamps made the installation easier.

    Notes from installing five fixtures

I installed five of these to replace fluorescents. They are bright, come with a 5K option, and include a rocker for three color settings. Important tip: the trim edge snaps behind notches in the frame and some units can be stubborn. I found using a 1" chisel to pry and twist the edge into the notch made the snap-in much easier.
