Product review

Adjustable height and modular construction: The trellis is made from screw‑together metal sections so you can lengthen the tower as vines climb or remove sections for seedlings and pots. Connections hand‑tighten without special tools, and the unit breaks down to stack for compact storage.

What’s included: multiple tubular frame sections, ground stakes for in‑soil anchoring, fasteners, and an illustrated instruction sheet. The lower ring includes long stakes that push into soil for additional stability; you may opt to leave stakes out when placing the trellis on hard surfaces and secure it as needed.

Materials and finish: Constructed from metal tubing with dual protective coatings to resist rust and weathering. The painted matte finish gives it a muted, garden‑friendly look while helping protect the frame through seasonal exposure.

Assembly and use: Most of the pieces thread together; final tightening requires only a Phillips screwdriver. Sections disassemble by unscrewing for storage. The pyramid/obelisk shape provides multiple attachment points and horizontal rails for training climbers, roses, clematis, passionfruit, and other vine crops.

Design and placement: At roughly 7.8 ft tall, the structured pyramid serves as a visual centerpiece while delivering vertical support for flowers, fruits, and vegetables. It works in beds, large containers, and on patios — use the ground stakes for in‑soil placement or omit them for hard surfaces and anchor as needed.

Pros

  • Height adjusts as plants grow
  • Rust‑resistant dual coating
  • Quick, mostly tool‑free assembly

Cons

  • Top arches can be tricky to orient
  • Horizontal bars may be wide for some vines
  • Ground screw system feels a bit awkward

VerdictA decorative, functional trellis that grows with your plants. The modular metal frame and dual protective finish make it suitable for year‑round outdoor use, and assembly is straightforward with mostly hand‑tightened connections. It’s a reliable option for gardeners who want a striking vertical support without a complex build.

Reviews

  1. Maxine 4/5

Solid obelisk with a simple snag

Classic Vego obelisk with all parts and instructions included. The top two arches aren’t labeled and the picture isn’t clear, so assembly took about 30 minutes. You can screw the bottom poles into the final section to set them on soil. No tools needed except a Phillips for the final screws. The metal has a matte painted finish.

    Very satisfied

Solidly built and heavier than expected — I’m very pleased with how it feels and performs.

  3. designer60 5/5

    Lovely garden focal point

Ideal centerpiece for our beds. We planted jasmine beneath and it has climbed in fragrant spirals across the frame.

  4. William L. Langley 5/5

    Works well for smaller plants

Simple to put together and steady enough for smaller specimens and container use.

  5. Sharon M. Schreiner 5/5

    Exactly as expected

Good construction, easy assembly, and fits nicely in our garden space.

  6. suzanne 5/5

    Well made but wide rungs

Nice build quality and long stakes for ground support. Crossbars are a bit far apart for my clematis, but I trained it to climb.

  7. Tristin 5/5

    Tall, attractive support

Sturdy and attractive. The 7.8 ft height provides ample backing for roses, vines, flowers, and vegetables; the pyramid shape is decorative and functional.

  8. Ke Liu 5/5

    Great for fruiting vines

Well‑made support for my passion fruit — it climbed nicely and looks attractive with fruit and flowers.
