Capacity and function: This bell-style poultry waterer is sized to serve up to 20 full-grown birds. The unit delivers a continuous supply via gravity or low-pressure plumbing and is intended for a wide range of poultry from small backyard chickens to larger birds.
Valve and flow control: A high-sensitivity float valve monitors and controls the water level, shutting off flow when the bowl reaches the desired height. The valve and hose connection are designed to minimize leaks and water loss. For pressurized hookups the recommended operating range is about 4–5 PSI (5 PSI gives ideal performance); a pressure regulator is required for pressurized use.
Gravity or pressurized feed options: Use the drinker with a pressurized line on the recommended low PSI range, or gravity feed it from an elevated 5-gallon pail using 1/4" tubing. The product works with a reservoir-and-siphon arrangement when a pressure regulator is not available.
Build and stability: Constructed from impact- and chemical-resistant polymer, the bell won’t rust or corrode and tolerates routine sanitizing. A substantial internal ballast reduces swinging and spills, and the hanging bell design raises the water surface above bedding and droppings to help keep the area drier.
Maintenance and serviceability: The specialized valve automatically stops water flow when the drinker is disconnected, so you can remove it for cleaning without shutting off the whole supply. The streamlined assembly uses fewer parts to simplify routine maintenance. A replacement valve assembly is available for long-term service.
Included kit: The package comes with a saddle connector, 1/4" black PVC hose, 10' of rope, a hose fastener, a height regulator and a hanging hook for immediate installation. A spare valve assembly can be purchased for future repairs.
Pros
- Works with gravity or low-pressure plumbing
- Durable, non-corroding polymer construction
- Auto-shutoff valve for easy cleaning
Cons
- May need additional hose length or fittings
- Requires correct pressure or reservoir setup
- Some users report valve setup challenges
VerdictA practical automatic drinker for small flocks that combines a leak-resistant float valve with a stable, weighted bell design. The polymer body resists corrosion and chemical cleaners, and the unit can run from a low-pressure line or a gravity-fed 5-gallon container. Installation can require some tweaking — hose length, regulator selection or reservoir setup — but once adjusted it provides consist

Saves time — works well for meat birds
Performs great in our meat-bird setup. Would buy again.

Game changer for hands-off watering
I run about 50 chickens and guineas. Mounted this under a 55-gallon barrel on a stand and now only need to refill every couple of weeks. Easy to maintain and works reliably.

Exactly what we needed
Installed it under a raised platform and connected to a 50-gallon tank overhead. Has supplied fresh water consistently for a month.

Effective solution with a few setup lessons
I like this unit for chickens and turkeys. I added sand in the base for stability but at first didn’t pack it all the way down; when I tipped it to empty it the ballast shifted and left the drinker off-level so the next morning it was dry. I refilled the base completely with sand, re-hung it and it’s held level since. The included 1/4" PVC hose was too short for my run so I’ll get a longer length. We originally planned to add a pressure reducer for the 4–6 lb range but used a siphon from a bucket while shopping for parts; the siphon has worked reliably for now.

Solid performer for game birds
This unit has been fantastic for my pheasants. Took a bit of setup but has given me zero problems compared to other designs. I’ll be ordering another for my chickens.

Leaked and failed for my flock
I have about 50 chickens and needed an auto-fill system. This unit would not stop filling for me — the shutoff failed and it leaked badly. The valve seems held by very small plastic parts and I don’t see it lasting. Very disappointed.

Good concept — needs clearer setup directions
The drinker is exactly the type we wanted for free-ranging birds and for keeping ducks from getting in, but the instructions are sparse. Hooking it directly to a standard hose produced too much pressure and the plunger wouldn’t reseat when levels dropped. The simple fix was a reservoir system: a 5-gallon bucket plus a toilet-tank style float setup, ditch the tiny black tubing and use 1/4" ID tubing with a 1/4" male fitting for reliable flow.
