Product review
This package contains six glue sticks, each holding 1.27 ounces of solid adhesive in a twist-up tube. The formulation goes on as a vivid purple so you can easily spot where glue has been applied; it fades to clear as it dries. The adhesive is designed for use on paper, cardboard, foam board, fabric, photos and similar porous surfaces.
The sticks are nontoxic, acid-free and safe for photos; the product carries ACMI AP certification and conforms to ASTM D 4236. The glue is odorless, smooth to apply and intended for routine craft, school and office tasks. A transparent twist-up barrel lets you monitor how much glue remains so you can plan replacements.
For fabric and clothing, the glue washes out of most textiles. It performs well for paper-to-paper bonding and light mounting jobs. Because it is a solid adhesive stick, it is easy to control a thin or heavier swipe depending on the project. Not formulated for long-term bonding of nonporous materials such as foil or glass without additional surface prep.
Pros
- Visible purple application that dries clear
- Generous 1.27 oz sticks for longer use
- Nontoxic, acid-free and ACMI AP certified
Cons
- Not ideal for smooth, nonporous surfaces
- Dries relatively quickly—can be tricky for large areas
- Large size may be bulky for very small hands
VerdictThese 1.27 oz disappearing-color glue sticks are a reliable, kid-safe option for everyday crafts, school projects and light repairs. The purple application makes coverage effortless to see, then clears as it dries. They stick well to porous materials, are nontoxic and photo-safe — but they’re not ideal for smooth, nonporous surfaces and the larger size may be more than some users need.

Works great for my 3D printer bed
I apply a thin layer to the glass bed for prints. It holds parts down perfectly and cleans off easily with soap and water.

Very tacky
This adhesive really sticks. Practical tip: don’t let pets chew it.

Keeps small parts in place
I had some tiny model eyes that kept popping off; a dab of this glue kept them put without fuss.

Good flow for paper crafting
Smooth application that doesn’t over-wet. I use these when making handmade journals and they hold pages well.

Comparable to other major brands
I had a different brand on hand and used both. I noticed no drop in quality. Purple tint helps ensure full coverage and it clears quickly. Strong on paper-to-paper but less effective on foil or other slick surfaces.

Large sticks, easy to use
These are noticeably bigger than standard sticks. They apply smoothly and work well for young children — used them with a 4–5 year-old group and they performed fine.

Works well for 3D printing
Tested on my printer bed — it works great and sometimes makes the part hard to peel off the glass.

Good adhesive but fast drying
It’s a solid glue, but compared to the white stick it sets quicker, so it’s not the best choice for gluing very large surfaces.

Holds models steady on the bed
I use these to keep prints from shifting. They fixed my bed-adhesion problems right away.

Perfect for heavy paper projects
I usually burn through the small tubes when binding journals. With these I glued numerous pages together and barely used a whole stick. The purple goes on bold then dries clear, no stringing and no smell. If you hate glue odors, this one won’t bother you.
