Product review
What you get: a single 17 mL spray bottle of Ear Itch MD, ready to use for daily ear care. The compact size fits a bathroom shelf or travel kit and is intended for repeated spot applications.
Formula and materials: this product is an oil blend that lists coconut oil, jojoba oil, apricot kernel oil, laurel berry fruit oil, tea tree oil, and vitamin E. The combination is intended to deeply moisturize dry, flaky ear skin while providing a soothing, anti-irritant effect from the botanical components.
How it’s used: the spray dispenses a fine mist to coat the ear canal and adjacent skin. Apply a short spray into the ear or onto the entrance of the canal as part of your daily routine or immediately after removing hearing aids or earbuds to reduce rubbing and friction. The misting action is designed to deposit an even layer of oil to calm itch and add lubrication.
Device users and sensitive ears: recommended for people who wear hearing aids, earbuds, or other in-ear devices—use before inserting gear to create a light barrier that can lessen irritation and improve comfort over hours of wear.
Safety and age guidance: intended as a non-irritating, object-free way to address dry, itchy ears. Do not insert swabs or instruments into the canal; apply externally or as directed. Suitable for adults and for children aged 2 years and older when used according to instructions.
Pros
- Hydrating botanical oil blend
- Creates a protective layer for in-ear devices
- Compact 17 mL bottle for easy carrying
Cons
- Spray delivers a fairly forceful mist
- Can run out of the ear if over-applied
- No dropper option for gentler dosing
VerdictA gentle oil-based spray that delivers quick soothing for dryness and itch. The natural oil mix hydrates and creates a protective coating useful for people who wear in-ear devices. The nozzle can feel forceful to some users, and excess oil may run if you over-spray, but it provides reliable relief for many causes of itchy ears.

Huge help during perimenopause
Itchy ear canals were a persistent perimenopause symptom for me. This spray worked quickly where other remedies failed. I recommended it to friends, and several had similarly fast, pleasant results — the scent is mild and the texture is soothing.

Helps in very dry climates
Living in a dry desert left my inner ears constantly irritated. I used to scratch and sometimes caused infections. Spraying directly in the ear two to three times daily has cut the urge to scratch and brought noticeable relief.

Real relief after switching to in-ear aids
I recently began wearing deep-fit hearing aids and the itching got much worse. After trying many things, this spray finally calmed the irritation. It can leak a bit, so I blot the excess with tissue, but applied right after removing my aids it made wearing them manageable again.

Effective oil, awkward applicator
The oil itself is calming and works well, but the spray nozzle blasts liquid into the ear and often drenches the canal and runs down the neck. Spraying onto a cotton swab first is safer and much less messy. I'd prefer a dropper or gentler dispensing option.

Worsened itch and refund issues
I found plain coconut oil more effective — this product made my ears itch more. I rated it low for effectiveness but noted its moisturizing feel. After contacting the seller about a refund they offered a replacement instead and then declined the refund claim, which left me frustrated with their handling of my request.

Favored after many attempts
I’ve tried prescription and over-the-counter options for years; this one tops my list. My only gripe is that each pump releases a fair amount of oil, and a lot can drip out after one squirt.

Ordered by mistake but usable
I selected the wrong item initially but decided to keep this one and pay for it. I’m satisfied enough to use it, though I’ll order my intended product next time.
