Product review
Included in the package is a single 1KG (2.2 lb) spool of 1.75mm PETG filament in a solid grey shade. The spool is intended for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept 1.75mm material and is sized for a variety of small to medium production and hobby projects.
This filament is made from polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified (PETG), a material that combines many favorable properties of PLA and ABS. It’s promoted as an economical option that still provides improved toughness and impact resistance compared with standard PLA while avoiding some of ABS’s warping issues.
The material is formulated to print with a glossy, high-brightness surface finish and good dimensional stability. That makes it suitable for parts where appearance and accurate dimensions matter, including translucent or semi-transparent designs when using lighter colors.
PETG’s mechanical resilience and versatility make it applicable across multiple industries and uses: lighting fixtures and components, electronic housings, cosmetic and packaging prototypes, and stationery or other functional items. Its balance of stiffness and toughness supports both functional end-use parts and durable prototypes.
Users can expect stable layer adhesion and reduced shrinkage compared with some engineering plastics, helping to produce reliable prints with professional-looking surfaces. The filament is offered in a range of colors to match different aesthetic or functional needs.
Pros
- High toughness and good layer adhesion
- Glossy finish with dimensional stability
- Versatile for many functional and industrial uses
Cons
- May need tuning to reduce stringing
- Can absorb moisture; pre-drying can help
- Some users report occasional cosmetic defects out of the box
VerdictA dependable, economical PETG option that balances toughness and a glossy finish for everyday 3D printing. It prints reliably once dialed in, yields durable functional parts, and is versatile across lighting, electronics and container prototypes. Occasional tuning or drying may be needed to minimize stringing and moisture-related defects, but overall it offers solid performance for the price.
Reviews

Zane Foulk 5/5
Solid affordable filament
Good overall quality and color uniformity. It makes noise in my multi-material setup, which I suspect is a feeder issue rather than the filament itself.

Noella Watkins 5/5
My go-to PETG
Dependable spool that hasn’t been brittle or broken. Sticks well to the bed and I haven’t had print failures.

Excellent value for functional pieces
Performs well for practical parts. A short drying cycle cut down on stringing and smoothed surfaces, but it prints fine straight from the spool. The black is noticeably shiny and parts are robust.

Attractive and rugged — dry before printing
High-quality, appealing filament with strong performance. Bear in mind PETG benefits from drying (roughly 6–8 hours at about 55°C) to avoid white streaks from moisture.

Consistently reliable PETG
Feeds smoothly and prints without frequent adjustments. Layer bonding is strong and print quality stayed consistent across multiple jobs. Good choice for functional parts and everyday use.

Don’t hesitate
High-quality filament that delivers nice-looking prints and reliable bed adhesion. Great value for typical projects.

Poor results with the white spool
White filament produced heavy stringing and failed to stick well to my bed. Switching brands fixed the issue. Tested on a Bambu Lab P2S.

Works great
Simple, reliable filament that does what it should — no complaints.

Sturdy material that needs dialing in
Produces strong, glossy prints with good layer adhesion. Required more adjustment than some premium PETGs — occasional stringing needed tuning — but results were solid when dialed in.

Good but slightly trickier than PLA
Performs nicely once settings are tuned. Expect a bit more stringing and tweaking compared with PLA, but final prints look good.

Dependable prints
Consistent PETG performance; I’ve rarely been disappointed with prints from this spool.

Affordable but inconsistent at first
Initial layers were lumpy right out of the sealed package despite adequate adhesion. After the first few layers things improved, though I saw one layer separation on a part.
