This replacement ironing board cover and pad pair is made for standard 15 x 54 inch boards and is sold as the cover and layered pad only (ironing board not included). The top layer is 100% cotton, chosen for a soft, heat-tolerant surface. Beneath that sits a polyester layer, followed by a resilient foam core that provides the bulk of the cushioning. A final polyester/non-slip felt layer on the underside keeps the pad from sliding on the board frame.
The pad measures to fit typical 15 x 54 inch boards and is built with a 2-inch-wide elastic edge to grip the board tightly during installation. Two quick-lock buckle fasteners are included so you can cinch and hold the cover taut across the board, preventing bunching or shifting while you press. The combination of cotton top and foam cushion is intended to make the iron glide more smoothly and to reduce imprinting from the metal frame.
To install, stretch the elastic edge over the pointed end first, then work around the board, pulling and adjusting in small sections until the cover sits evenly. Nice thickness but not slippery
This cover added much-needed padding over the thin original, but the top behaves like plain cotton and doesn’t offer a slick glide — fabrics sometimes catch and need a little extra pull.

Plenty of padding, took effort to stretch on
Really pleased with how padded it is — no more metal-frame marks on trousers and the iron glides more easily. Putting it on was a bit of a challenge at first; I remeasured and then stretched it little by little starting at the point. Once tightened and buckled, it stayed smooth and didn’t bunch while I ironed.

Better ironing result
Not flawless in fit, but ironing is noticeably quicker and the iron seems to glide better than with the old, worn cover. A clear upgrade from the original.
