Includes: one 8-inch round analog thermometer with a hanging slot for easy installation on walls, fences, shed siding, deck posts, or inside greenhouses and garages. No batteries or wiring are required — the unit operates mechanically.

Construction and materials: The face features bold black numerals printed on a white background in 5-degree increments, with a high-contrast black pointer for clear, at-a-glance readings. A precision bimetallic coil inside senses temperature changes and drives the pointer. The housing is molded from high-impact, weather-resistant resin and is engineered to resist shattering and warping. A clear protective lens guards the dial while allowing unobstructed viewing.

Durability and finish: Graphics are printed with UV-resistant inks so the numerals and markings hold contrast and legibility even after prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The resin body and sealed lens help the thermometer withstand rain, wind, and regular outdoor exposure; however, like many plastic instruments it can develop internal fogging over time in very wet conditions.

Performance and placement: The thermometer measures from -60°F to 120°F (-50°C to 50°C), making it suitable for a wide range of climates from frigid winters to hot summers. The low-profile round design blends with outdoor decor and is intended for both sheltered and open-air locations; mounting is simple with a single screw or nail through the hanging slot. Typical uses include patios, porches, poolsides, garden walls, sheds, garages and greenhouses where a clear, mechanical temperature readout is preferred over digital or electronic solutions.

Pros

  • Wide -60°F to 120°F measurement range
  • Large, high-contrast dial for easy reading
  • Weather- and UV-resistant construction

Cons

  • No humidity or additional sensors
  • Some units may run a few degrees off
  • Lightweight plastic can feel flimsy and may fog

VerdictA straightforward analog thermometer offering a wide temperature range, high-contrast dial, and rugged resin construction for year-round indoor or outdoor use. It’s simple to mount and read from a distance, resists sun fading, and needs no power. Some units can show small offsets and the plastic housing can feel lightweight, but for basic temperature checks on patios, porches, garages, or greenhou

Reviews

  1. SLS 5/5

    Reliable indoor readout

Happy with this thermometer — it works well. I can tell at a glance that my AC is keeping the room at the set temperature.

  2. Elidier Danny Ramirez Loria 5/5

    Does the job

Functions fine for basic temperature checks.

  3. kathy ryans 5/5

    Good for indoor use too

Bought to monitor room temps. Stable, no adjustments needed, and the display is easy to read.

  4. Sylvestre 5/5

    Easy visibility from indoors

Digits are large enough for good visibility. Hangs securely and is easy to read without going outside.

  5. Rebecca 3/5

    Flimsy but functional

Cheap-feeling plastic construction, yet it operates as expected.

  6. Kathy L. 5/5

    Survived harsh weather

Very durable — took hail, rain, falls and temperature swings and kept working. Plastic can fog and the spring may need a nudge sometimes, but it keeps doing its job.

  7. Amanda 3/5

    Works as a decor gauge

Not as precise as pricier models, but fine as an outdoor decorative thermometer — lightweight and simple to hang.

  8. Randall Hooser 1/5

    Consistent high reading

Shows about 5°F higher than my other units. Replacements behaved the same.

  9. Kathryn Hutton 4/5

    Clear face but offset readings

Sturdy build and an easy-to-read dial. It consistently registers several degrees higher than my other thermometers used for tropical plants.

  10. Diana 5/5

    Big numbers and simple setup

Large numerals are visible from indoors to my carport. Easy to mount and matched my weather app readings. No batteries needed. Celsius markings are smaller and it lacks a humidity gauge.

  11. Raul c. 5/5

    Basic outdoor thermometer

Thermometer works well outdoors — nothing fancy, but it performs.

  12. Paul Shipley 5/5

    Handy outdoor gauge

Perfect for outside use. Simple to install and the large face is easy to read.

  13. Ailsa 1/5

    Poor in direct sun

Instructions advise against placing in direct sunlight. When sun hits it the reading becomes inaccurate, which seems odd for an outdoor device.
