Product review
What you get: a length of U-shaped rubber edge trim supplied with a removable peel-off adhesive liner on the channel. The liner protects the adhesive until you press the trim in place, so no separate glue is required.
Materials and build: molded from silicone rubber for flexibility, durability and ease of cleaning. The compound resists aging and heavy wear better than many softer plastics, and it tolerates routine washing without deteriorating.
Dimensions and fit: the trim has an outer width of about 3/4" (19 mm) and is designed to accept panel thicknesses from approximately 11/16" to 13/16" (18–20 mm). It slides over edges to form a protective U-channel cover.
How to use: measure and cut the trim with scissors to the needed length, peel back the adhesive liner, then press the channel onto the sheet edge. The trim is flexible enough to negotiate gentle bends and tighter corners; take care to avoid forcing it so the adhesive stays in place.
Performance: silicone construction provides a broad operating range (cold to hot) and good outdoor resistance. The adhesive is convenient but benefits from firm, even pressure during installation. The product is intended to reduce cuts and protect finishes on doors, panels, and metalwork.
Pros
- Peel-off adhesive liner for tool-free attachment
- Flexible silicone — easy to cut and bend
- Wide temperature tolerance and washable
Cons
- Adhesive liner can be fiddly to remove
- Not perfectly crystal clear — slightly milky or tinted
- May need careful pressure to secure on some surfaces
VerdictA practical, flexible solution for covering sharp sheet edges. The silicone construction resists aging and is washable, while the factory-applied adhesive liner lets you apply the U-channel without separate glue. It slips on to edges from roughly 11/16" to 13/16" and can be trimmed with scissors to length. Expect good adhesion in normal conditions, though some users report the liner can be fiddly

Does the job
Protected a powder-coated edge very well. Adhesive held and the size matched perfectly — satisfied with the results.

Good choice for plexiglass panels
I used this on plexi sheet panels. It slips on easily and the flexible adhesive seems to hold. Still waiting to see how it fares through a cold winter.

Works well — easy to fit
Very effective silicone protection. Replaced an old strip and hope this one lasts as long. Installation is straightforward if you align before peeling the liner.

Handy for car-door protection
Installed on car doors to avoid scrapes in the garage. They have held up through a range of weather with no cracking or shrinking so far.

Peace of mind around sharp metal
Worked well on exposed sheet-metal edges to prevent cuts. Clear enough visually, durable, and easy to apply following the product instructions.

Good adherence and easy to trim
Relatively stiff, adheres nicely, and cuts cleanly. Seems to withstand regular wear without issue.

Adhesive could be improved
Overall OK, but the adhesive sometimes peels off with the liner. Wider liner strips would make installation less fiddly and cut waste.

Solid for commercial kitchen tables
Applied to stainless table edges across multiple units. Easy to peel and press on; after months the trim is holding up. Would prefer adhesive on both sides.

Clear is a bit pinkish
The trim is marketed as clear but has a slight pink/red tint in person. Quality and flexibility are good and the adhesive works, but the color didn’t suit my car.

Very useful for thin acrylic edges
Fit my 1/8" acrylic edge and looks neat. The material is more milky than perfectly clear, but it adheres well once pressed. Installation takes a little patience.
