Capacity and resolution: This precision balance accepts up to 5,000 grams and reads down to 0.01 grams (10 mg), allowing both high-capacity and relatively fine measurements in one instrument.

What’s in the package: The scale ships with the weighing unit fitted with a removable stainless-steel weighing pan (5.6" x 7.5") and basic documentation. The housing is molded ABS plastic for impact resistance and everyday durability.

Units and controls: The instrument supports 19 selectable units — including grams, kilograms, ounces, pounds and carats — with a unit-lock option for your preferred setting and 16 preset unit combinations for quicker workflows. An easy-to-read LCD shows results and status messages.

Functions and protection: Standard laboratory functions are provided: tare/zero, check-weighing, piece counting and manual calibration using calibration weights. Overload protection helps guard the electronics and load cell against accidental heavy loads.

Setup and use: The scale has height-adjustable feet to level the platform on uneven benches and a large pan to handle bulky samples. Typical uses include laboratory measurements, classroom demonstrations, jewelry weighing, small business inventory tasks and hobby activities such as perfume blending or model materials.

Pros

  • High 5 kg capacity with 0.01 g resolution
  • Large stainless-steel pan for bulky samples
  • Multiple units and useful counting/calibration features

Cons

  • Some reports of assembly or wiring defects
  • Power options vary by unit — check before relying on batteries
  • Finish and fit are basic compared with premium lab balances

Reviews

  1. HObiekid 5/5

    Solid performance

    Accurate unit and arrived promptly.

  2. Kartuc 2/5

    Loose wiring on battery compartment

When installing batteries a soldered wire on the battery holder detached. I planned to use it plugged in, but this undermines my confidence in the build.

  3. Wes 4/5

    Well made and reliable

Very good quality and consistent readings.

  4. Titom32 1/5

    Unstable zero, unusable for precision

Even on a very stable bench the scale won’t stabilize at zero, so I can't get any precise measurements.

  5. LanerAA 1/5

Slow responses and no battery socket

Very slow to respond to load changes and lacks a battery compartment.

  6. Joce01 5/5

    Meets expectations so far

Tried it once and it performs as expected. Only drawback: it runs only when plugged in.

  7. Richard I. Cronkhite 5/5

    Good value, not US-made

Offers a lot for the price, but it's not manufactured in the United States as I had assumed.

  8. Rossana Uribe 5/5

    Perfect for my hobby

Does exactly what I need for making perfumes.
