Design and packing
The pad uses a peanut/egg-shaped profile combined with an accordion-style, peaks-and-valleys layout. The ridges interlock when folded so multiple pads nest neatly to save space in a pack. When collapsed it is secured by bands and occupies a compact cylinder for easy external or internal carry.

Materials and insulation
Constructed from closed-cell IXPE foam, the surface has a silver aluminum film bonded to it. That reflective coating bounces body heat back toward you, increasing thermal efficiency without adding weight. The IXPE core offers tear resistance, good flex, and rapid recovery — the foam springs back quickly after being compressed.

Sizes, weight and contents
Unfolded dimensions are approximately 74.8 x 20.3 inches (190 x 51 cm). Packed dimensions are roughly 20.3 x 5.5 x 5.5 inches (51.5 x 14 x 14 cm). The pad weighs about 453 g (16 oz) and comes in green. Package contains 1 foldable foam sleeping pad.

Performance and uses
This moisture-resistant mat protects from damp ground, rocks, and dirt. It can serve as a sleeping pad, a small seat when folded, an underlay beneath an inflatable mattress, or as a yoga/picnic mat. Suitable for year-round use in most conditions, it adds insulation and a layer of puncture protection while staying ultralight for backpacking and field work.

Pros

  • Very lightweight and packable
  • Moisture-resistant and reflective for extra warmth
  • Durable closed-cell IXPE construction

Cons

  • Not as cushioned as thicker air pads
  • A bit bulky compared with fully rolled inflatables
  • Foam can be damaged by pets or sharp objects

VerdictA dependable, featherweight foam sleeping pad that prioritizes reliability and warmth over plush cushioning. The peanut/egg profile and accordion fold nest together for compact packing; the closed-cell IXPE foam resists moisture and won’t puncture like inflatables. The reflective aluminum layer adds extra radiant heat without much added bulk. It won’t match the plushness of a thick air pad, but fo

    Easy to hike with

Used it for an overnight in Colorado. It added a comfortable insulating layer on cold ground and was simple to carry.

  2. Marc Owens 4/5

    Good basic pad

Does the job but doesn’t feel as plush as it looks in photos. Expect firmer support.

  3. Rick 5/5

  4. Rate My Sneakers 5/5

Does what you need it to

Lightweight, straightforward to fold, and reliable. Took it on a pre-summit camp and it performed without issue.

  5. Arnoldo 5/5

Tough and dependable in the field

Perfect balance of comfort and carryability for extended outdoor use. Held up through repeated field events and still shows minimal wear — durable enough for hard use and my go-to for deployments.

  6. Jimmy 4/5

    Ultra-light and easy to carry

The egg-crate profile nests for compact folding and gives decent support for its thickness. Feels like very little weight for the size and is convenient for day-long carries.

  7. Drebin 5/5

    Lightweight and practical

When every gram counts this pad shines. Far lighter than most inflatables, it still provides enough give and keeps you off the cold earth. Waterproof surface wipes clean and it packs down easily for backpacking.

  8. Krinkles 5/5

    Simple, waterproof, and comfy enough

No inflation needed — folds accordion-style and straps to a pack with little fuss. The ridged surface adds insulation and kept me dry after a damp night. Versatile for picnics, yoga, or as a spare.

  9. Cam BLUMEL 5/5

    Light, puncture-proof, and cushioned

Thicker than many flat roll-up pads and the bubbled design actually improves comfort. I pair it under an air pad for puncture protection and extra insulation. Alone it’s fine for backpacking; paired it’s very comfortable and rugged.

  10. R. 5/5

Surprisingly supportive and packs down tiny

Extremely light and compact. I stack two for more cushion — they nest into one another and stay snug with the straps. I can sleep comfortably on a hard wood floor with these plus a blanket. They’re drier and warmer than many thin pads I’ve tried and fold up cleanly. I now have several for camping and extra guests.

    Better cushioning than expected

As a side sleeper I thought it might be too thin, but it protected my hips and reflected heat well on a long trail. Folded it into a comfy seat at camp. Note: keep it away from foam-chewing pets!
